Care instructions for Engelsrufer jewelry

We recommend handling your Engelsrufer jewelry carefully. Proper and regular care can extend its lifespan. In order to enjoy your Engelsrufer jewelry for as long as possible, you should follow a few basic rules:

  • Do not use harsh cleaning agents, as warm water or a soft, lint-free cloth is sufficient to remove dirt, sweat and the finest dust particles.
  • Only put on your jewelry after applying cosmetics - hair polish, perfumes, sunscreens, and any cosmetics will damage your jewelry. We recommend that you take off your jewelry before going to bed.
  • Do not wear your jewelry when doing housework or gardening, exercising, in the shower, sunbathing, bathing (salt or chlorine water) or while visiting the sauna.
  • Ideally, you should not store your jewelry in damp rooms - moisture in particular causes silver to oxidize and tarnish over time.
  • It is best to store your jewelry in a multi-part jewelry box, in individual fabric bags or wrapped in soft cloths. In this way you avoid mutual abrasion and scratches as best as possible.

Care instructions for Engelsrufer watches

We recommend handling your Engelsrufer watch carefully. To guarantee a long service life for your watch, you should follow the following care instructions:

  • We recommend not using detergents or soap to clean your watch. A soft, lint-free and slightly damp cloth is sufficient to remove dirt, sweat and the finest dust particles. The cleaning cloth should be treated without additives such as a silver cleaning cloth or similar.
  • Avoid using soaps or other chemicals that can damage your watch. Chemicals, solvents or grease can cause discoloration or damage to the case and bracelet.
  • Engelsrufer uses the finest Italian leather for watches with leather straps. Leather does not tolerate moisture or humidity. Ideally, you should make sure to keep your leather strap dry, otherwise it can become stained and brittle.
  • Extreme temperatures shorten the life of the watch battery. Please avoid exposing the watch to extreme high and low temperatures.
  • Please never operate the crown under water. Pulling it under water can cause moisture to get into the housing. If water or moisture forms under the glass, we recommend having the watch professionally inspected. Water can impair or destroy the function of your watch.

Water resistance Engelsrufer watches

Your Engelsrufer watch has a 5 ATM water resistance. This information can also be found on the case back of your watch and has the following meaning:

IMAGE Waterproof 5 ATM (bathing, washing hands, showering)

The watch is tested for water resistance up to 5 bar, which corresponds to the pressure of an assumed water column of 50 meters. This makes it perfect for everyday use such as bathing, washing hands or showering. Attention: A watch can only be used when swimming with a rating of 10 ATM or more.

Waterproofness is not a permanent condition. Regular wear of the seals or improper use can affect them. A regular check of the waterproofness is therefore recommended every time the battery is changed.
